Windows Details
The Windows app comes in two forms, depending on how your organization deploys it:
- IT-managed install (MSI): your IT team pushes this fleet-wide (via Intune, GPO, or similar). There's nothing for you to do—it's just there the next time you sign in.
- Self-serve install: if you're installing it yourself, you don't need admin rights—just download and run the installer your sayhii contact points you to.
After installing, you may need to restart your computer to complete setup and start the app running in the background.
The app stores its settings in a configuration file rather than the Windows Registry. If your organization manages the app fleet-wide, IT controls this file for you; if you installed it yourself, sayhii writes it automatically when you connect.
If you're stuck mid-setup and need to start over, quit the app, delete the sayhii folder under your local AppData (or ask IT if your machine is fleet-managed), and reopen the app to begin again.
The self-serve installer isn't yet digitally signed by sayhii. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you run it—this is expected, not a sign of a problem. Signed installers are coming soon.
