App Features
The sayhii app is a lightweight desktop application designed to ask you thoughtful questions—just once or twice a day—to help your organization listen and respond meaningfully.
All app traffic is outbound only and sent over TLS (HTTPS) to api.sayhii.io; nothing listens inbound on your network. This encrypts both the questions delivered to you and the answers you send back.
Authentication
To make sure answers are attributed correctly, we need to know who’s responding. But we also believe this should be as seamless as possible.
Regardless of how your organization authenticates users, sayhii stores a secure token after your first login. This lets you answer daily questions without needing to log in again each time.
The first step is always the same: enter your work email address. From there, the authentication experience depends on how your organization is set up.
sayhii Platform (Built-in Authentication)
If your organization is using sayhii’s built-in authentication, user accounts are created through an HRIS integration or CSV upload. Once that’s done, you can log in to the app or portal using the email address provided and confirm your identity through an emailed confirmation link.
If you see an “Invalid Organization Join Key” error, it usually means the email you entered isn’t recognized. Double-check that you’re using the same email your organization submitted.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your organization is using SSO, your IT team will have helped set up a connection to your corporate identity provider.
After entering your email address, a login window will open where you can sign in using your company credentials. You may also be asked to authorize sayhii to access basic identity information (like your name and email).
Registration
After logging in, your organization may ask you to answer a few demographic questions during registration. These help sayhii group your answers anonymously so your feedback can be aggregated—without ever being traced back to you individually.
If you're using the built-in authentication method, you’ll receive your confirmation email after completing registration (if it’s required by your organization).
Daily Question(s)
Once you’re set up, sayhii quietly works in the background.
The app checks in whenever you log in, unlock your computer, or wake it from sleep. If enough time has passed since your last response, and a new question is available, it will be displayed.
- On a typical day, you’ll see 1 or 2 questions.
- If you’ve been away for a few days, you may be shown additional questions to help you catch up.
This keeps your input consistent—without disrupting your flow.
Multiple Devices
You can register and answer questions on multiple machines.
Each day, you’ll only be expected to respond on one device. In rare cases, you might see the same question on more than one machine—but you’ll only need to answer the question once; you can skip the question or close the app on the other devices.
