New Features for sayhii
We've been working hard to update sayhii and improve our platform to better meet the needs of our customers. Two of the most common questions we hear are:
- Can employees answer questions on a web page so we don't have to install the sayhii desktop app?
- Can we ask our own questions instead of just the standard sayhii questions?
With our latest release, we're excited to say the answer to both is a resounding YES!
For full details, you’ll want to refer to the documentation — but here are the highlights.
Custom Modules
A few months ago, we made foundational changes to the sayhii backend to support different types of question sets and new algorithms for selecting the next best question for each user. Internally, we've called this work modularization. Our first major feature built on this foundation is support for Custom Modules.
Custom Modules allow you to define a specific set of questions you'd like to ask your employees. sayhii handles the delivery, and you'll receive aggregate results broken down by department. We also highlight which questions received the highest and lowest average scores to help you spot trends quickly.
Just like our standard questions, Custom Modules maintain full anonymity for respondents — so employees can feel just as confident and safe when sharing their feedback.
This is a great way to build on the daily habit sayhii helps cultivate and gather insight on questions specific to your organization.
Check out the sayhii documentation for more details, including a video walkthrough of creating your first custom module.
Module Scheduling
Once you've created a Custom Module, you can decide when you'd like those questions to be sent to users. These questions are delivered in addition to the standard daily sayhii questions.
To help avoid question overload:
- Only one module can be scheduled at a time
- No more than one question per day will be delivered from a scheduled module
For now, you can only schedule the modules you've created. In the future, we plan to offer prebuilt sayhii modules you can schedule to explore specific topics or assess different areas of your organization.
Scheduled modules are managed as part of your organization's Question Plan, and that documentation provides additional guidance.
Questions in the Portal
Some organizations have employees who can’t use the desktop application for various reasons. We've been working to meet users where they are — and our first step is bringing the sayhii question experience directly into the sayhii Portal.
When this feature is enabled, users will be prompted with the current question — if they haven't already answered that day — as soon as they log in to the Portal.
We hope this option allows more employees to participate and ensures that everyone's voice is heard.
If you'd like to enable this for your team, you can share this guide with them to get started.
Documentation
If you're reading this, you’ve already found our new Documentation Site! We hope it’s helpful as you explore what sayhii can do — especially when it comes to understanding the insights we surface. We'll keep this site up to date with the latest changes, with a focus on the technical side of using sayhii.
Thanks for Reading
If you’ve made it this far — thank you! We’re excited to bring these new features to you, and we hope they make sayhii even more valuable in helping employees engage with your organization.
